Got a question with fuel problem on my 89 century...

Hey, when I start up my buick century in the morning and let it run alittle bit before I drive it, But when Its in gear and im going and when I step on the throttle or the car hesitates, like its not getting gas or something..and it will do it for a while, but once im going for couple minutes it stops.. its like i step on it and the car doesnt want to go.. Any help would be great.. dont want things to break right now cause this is a good car for the snow and for here in the winter... especially when im not driving the WE4..
