A few weeks ago I took off in my 84 gn and visited my old college campus. The campus was shut down a few years ago. It has been around since the 1920's. Was owned and ran by SLU ever since the the founder gave the school to the Jesuits. The campus was huge, consisted of several classroom buildings, hangars, test cells, wind tunnells, gym, library, church etc. The place was beutifully kept up in the middle of a relatively eyesore East St. Louis. Is now for sale and will soon be all knocked down. Was kind of sad to see the buildings and grounds decaying away and falling apart. Lots of good memories there. It was 10 years ago to the day, that I had sold my t-type to start funds to go to college, Dreaming of one day owning a turbobuick again. So it was a nice sense of accomplishment I suppose. I regret not bringing someone with me to get some pics of me there with the car.
