MAF Translator + OBD1 (TPI) + V8 Conversion Questions....

Have any of you guys, or at least know of anyone, ever been successful with using a MAF Translator with say a '7165 ECM (86-89 TPI w/MAF)? Was told, as well as was just reading how they are only '7148 specific when it comes to OBD1, and is commonly used on the OBDII setups, but has anyone ever even attempted using the translator with the other OBDI ECM's to help keep boost in check? If I can get it to work with the '7165 I just may go that route for my turbo V8 trans am. Any feedback is of course welcomed. Thanks guys....

I can work with you on it.

It can work with the MAF TPI, but may require some chip adjustments.

Are you tuning your own chips?

The chip is being burned for the following engine application, but let me know if I should wait first....;

305 bored .030 over
ported 416 iron heads
ported/siamesed TPI setup
224/230 hydraulic flat tappet
1.52 roller tipped rockers
60-lb injectors
aeromotive A1000 fuel pump
single turbo header setup
T-88 mid frame turbo
