Hey guys new to the game, name is Mathew just bought me an 86 T-type with 55k miles all original and stock, I will start reading the tech section to get started modding and want to make it a mid 11sec daily driver. :)

Firsties! Read read read as others will say.

Make the car run well as it is and race it as it is and get your baseline. Change one part at a time and see what it does. It's satisfying to hit goals, but then you need new goals, and more $, so don't be in a hurry. The journey is the best part. And other will attest as will I, too many parts too fast does not make a fast car.

Welcome! Nothing better in the world than a ride in a well tuned turbo Buick.

x2 you can get one to rip pretty good with just some minor things, don't buy a bunch of stuff and put it on and expect it to fly. these cars are all about the tune! welcome and good luck

I thought more about this. Discovering what my stock turbo would do with a good tune, supporting fuel system, and alky, was the best feeling I got from my car and took very little money. The 11sec runs all feel the same after the first 60 feet anyway.

Welcome im new here aswell so im just hopping on your thread too see what I can also find out about my recently purchased 87 GN.....
