if the paint has signifigant orange peel, is it possible to wetsand it and remove it that way? I wonder how long it would take to do something like that.. also what products would be reccomended to buff and polish it with?
I would find a detailer and have them take a look, the worse thing you could do is attempt something if you're not sure of the finish. Just a thought. Or have someone you know who paints look at it and suggest how to go about this. They may even be kind enough to offer you some guidance. Othewise you could make a huge mistake trying something like this if you have never done this. Just my two cents. But rubbing through when you haven't done this before can be a disaster. And you don't want that.
