Precision PT-74 turbo question

I have a PT-74 turbo but with a .85 On -center turbine housing. I am sending the turbo back to Precision for a tangential housing.

My question is, can any of you guys say how much will this compressor make with a .96 A/R Tangential housing? Or how fast has anyone been with one of these turbos?

Hey Brent,

I believe Precision rates the PT74 Q trim at 875hp (i'm guessing thats flywheel horsepower). As to how fast anyone has been, that, of course, depends on a ton of factors. Weight, traction, etc. According to Pro Turbo Kits site, at 875hp, it is good for low 9s.

I made 770 RW without even going to 6200-6500 RPM's yet because I was running out of fuel on the top side. I have since fixed that issue and am going to upgrade the turbine housing.

My car is about 3100-3200 with me in it. So I am gonna guess that it would have made 800+ if I could have taken it on up in the R's.

No problem, Brent. Might be time to sell the 74 and stick a 76 under the hood.
