The laptop communicates with the FAST on com 3
The scanmaster is paired with the laptop via Bluetooth
The scanmaster is set to COM 3 on the Bluetooth settings

I open up Ccom and try to communicate and i get "ECU NOT FOUND"
I also don't see the Scanmaster going into pass through mode.
WTH?

sounds like you are sharing a port number between 2 types of drivers. Windows does not like to do that.

You need to assign the bluetooth to a free com port, (or preferrably let Windows assign it), then change the port in ccom to point to the bluetooth port.

So i changed the comp port on the BT and still not connection.
Again the Laptop is paired with the Scanmaster but NOT connecting to it.

ON Ccom what steps do i take -- key by key to connect via BT?
Also Ccom connects with the ECU just fine via com cable.
Classic doesn't give me a BT option when i go to
1- Communications
General --- Comp port --- Modem --- Network

the bluetooth is just another com port, so you set ccom to it.

windows is finicky about the port drivers, and you may have to uninstall the driver and let windows reinstall it.

what kind of computer? Dell is notorious for flaky bluetooth implementations, I run an external bluetooth adapter in my dell, even though it has internal bluetooth.

It is an Asus on windows 10.
So if the Bluetooth adapter is set to com 2 by windows i would go into ccom set it to port #2 and it should just connect?

frustrated to point of wanting to fix this with a hammer.
brand new bluetooth thing plugged into a different usb port( NOT the same one that i use for the com cable)
it doesn't detect the scanmaster .
tried all kinds of settings and f nothing

1- put key on ON scanmaster powers up connects to ecu.
2- turn on laptop scanmaster gets detected by internal BT.
3- i disable internal BT
4- i removed the scanmaster from the computer.
5- i plug in the brand new usb to BT adaptor
6- the adaptor connects to the laptop and it says that its working
7- BT adaptor never detects or connects to the SM.
8- BT adaptor ends up on the BT section of the laptop NOT in the usb section.
9- BT adaptor turns on the Internal BT on the laptop.
10- some how the scanmaster ends up back on the LT internal BT and paired - (remember i unpaired it and removed it)
Tried ten more times and it was a repeat of the above.
Then tried the internal BT again and nothing happens besides pairing.
Wth??????

BTW the SM was turned on and off multiple times
Not paired
Paired
Removed
Deleted
The LT was also restarted multiple times

I do have a BT mouse with a BT adapter thing and it works as it should.
And yes it was disconnected while i was playing with this crap.

1234 is the paring code

Windows and bluetooth can be a frustrating thing.

hit me up on email and we can walk thru it, perhaps I need to "remote in" to your machine and see whats happening.

i'm not able to do this at the moment. send me a screenshot of the device manager Bluetooth section. I had to disable the internal bluetooth in my Dell, and unpair and repair before it would work. (If I remember, it was last year)

playing and changing all kinds of shit on this thing and wala the laptop's internal blue tooth is now connecting to the Scanmaster and the scanmaster is going into pass through mode. yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i was even to get a log
which brings us to the next issue
the log is recording at about about 1 frame per 1.60 seconds instead of the programmed 20 frames per one second.

Next how do i configure the scanmaster's settings -- it displays
AFR looks good
Ret i hope it works i'll have someone tap it for me latter on
MAP steady on 4
Boost steady on -14
Target AFR 0.0
Volts seem to be working
O2 correction seems to be working.
Coolant is way off and all over the place
Air Temp is way off and all over the place
RPM looks about right
TPS Volts looks about right
TPS steady on 0.0
VE pct is moving but i don't now enough to tell if its correct or not
Inj.Pw looks about right

tried to up load the log but the board doesn't allow it

how many items are you trying to log? ccom is limited, or it will slow way down

passthru mode does not slow ccom down, try selecting fewer items in ccom. xfi has the same issue, but its limit is a bit higher.
