Have been wondering if a shift kit would help my GN. Are there any on the market that are outstanding? I don,t want to drill out or mess up the valve body.... Thx>

I would suggest the Art Carr line pressure kit. I have it on mine and shifts real nice and firm. I have a Transgo shift kit in my camaro and its not near as good I think.

The Superior kit, and add a .500" TV boost valve, both are available at any good transmission parts house. If you have an early model (BQ), add a late model (BRF) servo, or a Super servo from Fairbanks. Leave the MTV up and down valvetrains alone. If you are not intimately familiar with the 200 4R, buy an ATSG manual at the same time. You definately need a pair of snap ring (Tru Arc) pliers, a 10mm and a 13mm socket and a torque wrench that is set in INCH pounds.
