Yup talking about myself again. 
I would think for optimum use in a Mease or THDP situation you would want M8 x 1.25 thread studs in 45 to 50mm overall length.
Ones I had from Sears were Servalite packaged and M8x38 mm which would work fine if you didn't bottom them out in the turbo housing and left a bit more sticking out past the downpipe flange.
Bottomed out those would leave about 2 threads to catch, not enough.
Stainless nuts with integral washers work fine too.
Neverseize on the outside of the stud and maybe on the inside as well in case you have to remove them.
Gonna check McMaster Carr hopefully for some part numbers.
