I went racing last weekend with my new engine combo. Its a .030 over 109 block, steel crank, rods, 212-206 hydraulic roller, 1.55 roller rockers, RJC power plate, ported irons, ported intake, TE60 turbo w/garrett .63 housing, 3" downpipe, Precision Stock Loc. I/C, orange stripe 3000 converter, 60lb motrons, xp pump hot wired, cold air kit.

I am running a stock suspension car with 2 bags and a pinion snubber. I was using M/T E/T Drags 28X9-15's with 13 psi air in them.

Im thinking I need to get a higher stall converter as this new combo likes to be run at alot higher rpm than last year. Also being I have the heads and cam now Im thinkin about a bigger turbo too. To get the full potential out of this engine.

Letting the car shift itself netted a 11.80 @ 112 mph. Manually shifting at 5400 felt the best and gave me the best mph.
I was running 16psi boost on pump gas with a RA 93 street chip. Yeah, Im using the regular old scanmaster to tune. My 02's were 800-820 with 0* of KR the entire run.

My best time that day was 11.698 @ 115.13 mph. I wasn't bummed, it ran good but last year my mph in the 1/8 was 93 mph. This time out it was 91 at the best. Last year the engine was a stock rebuild with a 210-205 flat tappet cam, and stock unported heads and intake. Best time last year was 11.30's @ 119mph at 23psi boost.

Here's the time slip. Let me know what you think.

Now its time to throw the TT race chip in it and see what she'll do.

My ultimate goal is to dip into the 10's once and while. Sorry to rant on and on.

Our Chicagoland Buick club is going to GLD this Sunday. see if you can make it.

I am curious to see how much you can get out of that 60 turbo. But I think a bigger turbo would be a great addition to your set up.

whats the compaint you are doing this with a street chip and 7 pounds less boost and your a few tenths off. if i were you i would be jumping for joy. thats showing the power of the heads and intake
