Turbo Thunder VI Info Letter #2

We are one month away from the event. I hope your plans and preparations are going well. I finally have my car running again with some new parts, but a few bugs and an oil leak remain to be dealt with before I'm satisfied. Below is some more information about the event including a list of sponsors. I've posted this on all 3 of the main Buick boards:

We received great feedback about the "host hotel" from last year. We've set up a special rate with them again this year.

No more pre-registration:
Just a reminder that all registration activity will take place at the track. If you plan to race with the other turbo cars, and compete for the plaques, and the winnings you must register. As was the case last year, we will set up registration next to my motorhome which should not be tough to find. We may employ a special sticker for your windshield or headlight so we know who has registered already and who hasn't (its hard to know all the cars and all the racers by heart)
Registration Fee:
The few respondents to the poll that I posted on the Turbo Buick boards showed $10 as the popular amount for registration. We will go with this. Just a note from my CPA, she says cash is the preferred method of payment. This makes sence as the payouts are in cash also.
Race Classes:
Just a reminder, these are the same classes we had last year:
Turbo-Sportsman (11.50-13.99)
Turbo-Pro (7.50-11.49)
Quick-8 (Qualifying Ladder)
Raffle:
We already have some great things to raffle off. Kirban sent a box with DVD's, books and other items, and Cottons Performance has two $50 coupons. I will attempt to stop by Armstrong Buick here locally in Gladstone and see if they are inclined to donate some items again this year. We will have people write their names on their tickets this year so that you do not need to be present to win. I still expect to have the raffle take place on Friday night, but this year it will take place after they are through running cars for the night so we can hopefully gather a good crowd.
