What valve body do I have?

So I have this vb in this trans.anyone know what it is I know there are 2 kinds that can be used one is brf don't know the other ?the side of the tranny tag was taken off.

Actually there are upwards of forty different vb/gov combos from the gm factory. Do you have pix of it? There might be a painted on making on the vb and there might be a metal tag on the pass side of the tail of the trans. This doesn't mean that is what is in there but it could be.

Here is an example of the paint mark on the vb.

Could be a different color and have different characters.
You also might look at the servo(round aluminum piece on the pass side near cooler lines). It will have a cast number in the cover if it is a gm piece. Might end in 569, 692 , 694 or something else. This cam help identify which model the trans is also .

CT is typically for a Chevy 305 V8 engine.
