Whats the diffrence between scanmaster 2 and 2.1?

OK, someone finally answered my question, Thanks.

Hi guys.

Well, Scanmaster 2.0 was introduced in 1994 or so. It supports
basic high-speed data display as well as injector pulsewidth and spark advance.
When using the older high speed mode (version "Y") the unit doesn't display the
IAC or O2 crosscounts.

Scanmaster 2.1 was released about 2 years ago, it is fully backwards compatible
with all earlier stuff including the original high-speed "Y" mode. The new 2.1 now supports
"W" mode which is essentially equivalent to "Y" but now can also display IAC and
O2 CrossCounts.

To make either version Scanmaster update fast the ECM chip needs changes made to it.
The Scanmaster automatically recognizes which mode the ECM chip is programmed for
and displays correctly. The chip changes are public domain and all chip makers have the data.

More notes, high speed means 3 times faster than stock for O2 and Retard.

Hope this helps,
