Would it be worth upgrading to a 62/62?

Would I gain enough extra performance to justify the extra cost, by going to a journal 62/62? Would it work with my PTC 10", 2,800 tc?

The 62/62 will destroy a TE61, think of it as a faster spooling 67. The 62 exhaust wheel will spool a tad faster but make less power than the 65 wheel but should put you around the normal power of the 67/76.

Thanks for reply.

Do you use the 62/62 (sig. says TA-49) or do you know someone who does?

I keep track of the import worlds results since I also own a Turbo 91 Talon. The 62/62, 62/65 and 67/65 have all been dyno'd back to back with turbo's like the 67/76 and the new turbo's are laying them to waste on the same platform.

I posted the dyno graph of the 62/65 vs 67/76 on an EVO and the 67 lost in two important categories, spool and power throughout the entire graph.

Mike, would you point me to that dyno graph? I can't find it.

Here is the 62/65 ( Red Line ) vs the GT35R and 67/76 ( GT37R )

I also included what they did with the billet 67 at 42psi. Look at how much torque this turbo made on a 2.3L even though it's 42psi, damn.

We need to see this turbo on a Buick before you can say that. Who runs 42psi on a Buick? Running on the same combo at the same psi these turbos should make similiar power. A 61 to a 62 isn't like going from a 61 to a 70. Maybe I'm wrong but I would like to see some time slips from cars running this turbo.
