Front Upper Control arm bumper stops

I got a question, My upper driverside control arm bumper stop broke off. I found it on the floor in the garage, under the car. Can these be replaced (installed) just removing the tire, jacking up the front of the car. Or does the Control arm have to be disconnected from the ball joints?
