    Help with boost

Yes and anticipate skyrocketing boost. Watch your boost gauge and roll into the throttle in third gear. Do this first to see if you can achieve more boost. If,after doing this, you see no more boost, wire the wastegate arm shut and see if you can produce more boost. Have you enlarged the...

    Help with boost

Wire the wastegate shut. This will tell you if you need more force to keep the wategate closed or if you have another problem. You could first remove the boost signal from the actuator.

Pig rich on dyno with poor numbers

It's amazing what this old antiquated POS computer can do. Bob and Eric have shown us.

Pig rich on dyno with poor numbers

It is very important to have a wide band because of it's accuracy. The narrow band becomes less accurate as it heats up'

Pig rich on dyno with poor numbers

I don't like the TT Chip because WOT fueling is based on a certain amount of pre determined air entering the engine. If you don't run enough boost to put that amount of air into the engine, your air/fuel ratio will be rich. This means that if you want to run less boost, you can't. This will be...

Pig rich on dyno with poor numbers

You need to turn the alcohol off and lower the boost to 17 and get it to run right at that boost level, then add a little alcohol and raise the boost a little at a time. I would bet that your alcohol system is spraying too much alcohol.

    Husek 3021 converter experience.

The PTC has less slip when it couples but loses torque multiplication very early in a run. Daves converter has more slip than the PTC while it is coupled but multiplies torque for ever. It doesn't have the best coupling, but much improved. Add the torque multiplication and you will feel the...

Engine smoking at idle , oil in intake GN1R heads

If the rings have a good seal, less vapor and pressure will be noted in the crankcase. The problems with gapless rings occur when the second ring is gapless. The OP is running gapless in the top ring.

Engine smoking at idle , oil in intake GN1R heads

I had a situation where there was an incredible amount of oil in the plenum. I had forgotten that I had some material removed from the intake because I was using a thinner head gasket at one time. After assembling it with the thicker factory gasket,I started getting alot of oil in the intake. I...

    My new 109 stroker build

The thermal barrier on the tops of your new pistons is an option. The coating on the skirts is an absolute must have. When you send them to Swain, they give you a discount if you get both coatings. I highly recommend that you do. Again, the coating on the skirts is a must have.

    My new 109 stroker build

I see in your signature that you broke your stock block set-up. What broke? Were you running E85? How much boost? How much spark advance?

    My new 109 stroker build

Those pistons have the wrist pin bores centered in the piston which allows them to slap on cold start up. Without that coating on the skirts the piston slap will remove the cross hatch where they slap the bores and it will remove the horizontal lines on the skirts. You did the right thing.

Need help older Maf Translator settings

That's a Translator Plus. Score! You can adjust fuel and spark. The New/Current Translator only allows for fuel adjustment. Set the first knob (Base MAF) to 6 for an 85mm MAF. 7 is 10% rich. 8 is 10% lean. Post a picture of the connectors.

    20- bolt oil pan baffle

Do you know the distance between the bottom of the pick up and the bottom of the oil pan? There are two different depths of oil pans which means there are two different length pick ups. When you run a deeper pan you still want to run 5 quarts of oil as the purpose of the deep pan is to get the...

TWO QUESTION: IAC SETTING AND FUEL PRESSURE

The chip adjustments should be all you need to adjust WOT fuel. When you get to the end of your fuel injector's capabilities, you can then raise base fuel pressure to get more fuel into the engine. If a chip adjustment increases or decreases fuel supply too much, you can fine tune with fuel...

TWO QUESTION: IAC SETTING AND FUEL PRESSURE

What your fuel pressure does at 43 is exactly what it is supposed to do. Leave it set at 43. Your IAC is also acting as it should. It will change with temp changes. It is perfectly normal.
