I'm wondering if it is time to upgrade from my 009's to the 50# injectors?

I have an in-car elec. fp gauge that doesn't indicate any pressure drop, but I'm a little worried about having to stress the 009's as hard as they need to be to keep 02s good @ 20-24 lbs of boost.

I run 100 octane and nothing else...since I've owned the car.

Let me know what you think....like am I missing out on some noticeable hp or should I save my money? I've also heard that 50s are easier to tune and run smoother on the street than the 009s?

Thanks

Mark

I heard the same thing, I just bought 50's this week. Should have them on next week.

Whats your 1/4 times?

I don't know...a couple "big" add-ons were done after I went to the track last year....fm, tb/plenum, pp, tires....but I ran a best of 12.8 without being able to tune it at all. That was leaving the line without any load, boost was set at 19, and I did zero adjusting...turbolink was giving me some really weird numbers and then the laptop died!

...so I'm geeked to get out to the track with what I got now :)

Jack Cotton's web-site can answer a few of your Q's. Don't go by what is said on the Turbo Vendors' web-sites for accurate tubo/injector size info [I can only remember one site that listed this info, and man was it way off] If I remember the formula correct, the 009's will peak out [max duty cycle] at approx 510 hp and the 50's will carry you to 600 hp, PROVIDED you have components capable of supporting this HP level installed as well.
JC's site has some great formulas and info on it.
