ok.......... installing my hurst quarterstick. do i need to modify
the bracket that the cable hooks to on the trans, that also actuates the linkarm that goes to the steering column?
hurst supplies a new arm to put on the gear selection input shaft
but there is no provision for actuating the column link.

i ve checked out the newsletter instal and nothing is mentioned about modifying.

thanks

We did this on my son's MCSS and ended up cutting & welding parts of both brackets to keep the stock linkage intact. If you can weld, it only takes a few minutes to mark, cut, and reassemble the pieces.

Russ is correct. Cut the U - shaped section off the stock linkage and weld to the Hurst arm. By doing this you retain the original reverse lights switch and neutral safety switch. Good Luck.
