16" Draglite XP

The only bs they have for these is 4.5 on an 8" wheel and 5.5 on 8.5" wheel.Will these work??Im going to have the frame notched to the max.

And if youve got a set of XPs pics please

I did the 4.5" BS on back 8" wheels. CAme real close to frame with 245/60's so I put a 7/32" spacer on there to be sure no rubbing on corners. No rubbing whatsoever. I went with 3.5" bs on front 6" wheels, works perfect with no rubbing also. My axle was centered, so check yours. I have about 1/2" from frame and 1/2" from inner lip of fender. Make sure you get ythe correct mags for the wheels. Most places only carry cragar mags and they will not fit. I went through all that mess. I ordered mine from summit...just make sure you talk to somone that knows and is not just guessing.

Ive got 2 sets of Draglites and a set of Pro Stars allready(correct BS and theyre all big n littles) but I want 16"s.Draglite XPs are the original Draglites in 16" and 17" sizes.

Anyone???

My car has a frame notch and the body cut back 2". A 10" wheel with 5.5" BS fits right in the middle of the wheel housing with room to spare inside and out.

Yeah but they only make 8.5" wheels in the XP(at least in 16").Think I should get a 5.5"bs for the rear??Or stick with the 8" wheel and 4.5"bs??And will the 8" 4.5 work on the fronts??

If you are going to notch and mini tub, I would go with 5.5" BS and 8.5" wide.

Not sure if 4.5" BS would work up front?

I currently have 8" Draglites (don't know the backspacing, they came on the car), and wheel well rims cut. My car is having the frame restored, so I'm going to be notching the frame while they're at it. I'd really like to stay with the Draglites. So do they make a 10" Weld DL with 5.5" bs? (according to Nick, that's what I want). Of course I'll check right now, but if not, any other suggestions that will work with my set up?

I'd like to stay with the 15" rim, and put on a FAT drag radial. Trying my derndest to hook!

I called Weld, and they do make a 15x10" Draglite with a 5.5" bs. Didn't ask about the 9".

Hey Nick, when you say you've "cut the body back 2"", do you mean the wheel well lip? I've done that, but don't want to get into reshaping the inside of the well...too big of a job. Will a 15x10" fit with a notch job w/o rebuilding the inside wheel well?

the fronts WILL fit. i have 16x8 rodlights with 4.5 inch backspacing and the will rub the fenderwell if the wheel is crancked all the way. zero problems on a daily driver
