can anyone tell me the range of boost most mild gn's seem to stop at befor knock steps in? i can get 20# in 1st and 2ed but about 17.5 in 3ed does this sound about right? i know every car is diffrent and i could get mid 20's with alky and good chip, but before i do that should i buy a front mount i/c ? a cold air kit? (i have a open k&n under hood filter now) i do have a te44 and 42's with a chip on the way. also looking for a good stall con. anybody's input is welcome thanks Terry

on the stock turbo 19psi started knocking for my car. I can't get past about 17 with the 44 on it on 93 octane. I know I could get it to 18-19 or so with some WOT chip tuning. I had to adjust fuel psi to get 19 on the stock turbo.

Grocery getter do you still have the stock torque convertor with that te44? How much boost can you build when powerbraking?

stock converter...I had a crossover leaking a little and could build to about 4psi and after that it would start spinning the tires.

Ok thanks I have a cracked left exhaust manifold and need a master cylinder so I should be able to build 4 psi after they are fixed. Right now I can only get 1 or 2 psi. Thanks Eric

I highly reccomend a Art Carr 19930 Trans converter, it would amke your car scream with that turbo. Look into it it may be near 800 dollars but well worth it. You will feel a HUGE difference.
