Have the 200-4r transmission rebuilt and upgraded. Made a trip about block a mile or so and it blew gasket on pan and sprayed whole underside of car. Could hear it when it happened and was just cruising. Trans pulls good and shifts thru gears...but shifts were soft. It has superior shift kit and servo...13 vane pump...upgraded clutches etc. What would cause this issue?

Questioning if this is the o-ring on the servo leaking after getting it cleaned up and looking it over good and all was good except the shift was soft. There is only fluid sprayed on passenger side. I also have that "right stuff" gasket sealer on stock pan which isnt supposed to blowout

Sounds like someone didnt put something back together correctly. Thats alot of pressure to blow out that gasket. Just call Dave and tell him, he may have an answer for you, could be simple, could be major.

Sounds like the O-ring on the intermediate servo

I have had this problem before. Its most likely the servo cover leaking. There should never, EVER be pressure on the pan gasket. Also if you are losing pressure to the servo, it will shift soft, or not at all.

I had been monkeying with the servo on one a few years ago and didn't get the ring back on the servo cover correctly. It popped the cover off the first time it shifted to second. Made a nasty noise when the cover hit the floor pan, and fluid went EVERYWHERE. Big mess.

This issue ended up being a plug was left out on the case. Plug to the left of the servo. I did pull the servo before realized plug and all was good on o-rings but the trans still has a stock like soft shift. Shifts thru gears well and convertor locks but just shifts are soft. This is the br code trans 200r4 83 t-type also.
