thats right, i took out my mystery chip and swapped in a stocker. the stock chip allowed me to work my way up to 20 lbs with only 1.4 kr briefly at the 1-2 shift, one time only. sounds like i had the wrong chip to start with eh?
You ran a stock chip with MSD 50's....and running 20 lbs of boost? I wouldn't try going past the 1-2 shift @ 20 lbs of boost with that stock chip, but yea you may have found your problem.
i wasnt hittin 20lbs till 3 gear and i was goin from rolls mostly and now that i think about it i must have been in 2 shiftin to 3. yeah i had to have been goin into 3rd. what problems could that have caused possibly?
Putting a stock injector chip on 50's floods the motor with fuel. racing a motor with the wrong chip is a fast recipe for a trip to Mr. Headgasket land.
Becuase you can hit 20 PSI with a flooded engine doesnt mean anything.. becuase your not making any power. Probably could of taking it to 25 PSI.
Spend the money and get a proper chip made for your car.. hopefully you didnt already hurt it.
i only drove the car for 5 min, i wanted see if my chip had too much timing, i dont trust the chip i have i think it was bought second hand. i didnt mean this post as a im gonna use the stock chip from now on thing, iwas just a lil excited that its most likely a chip prob and not an injector one. injectors cost much more than chips anywho sorry i didnt explain myself better
