i have 275-50 DR's on the rear and i am planning on goin to 275-60's some time but i am buying some front runners and i can go 26 or 28s. my car went 12.70 with 20lbs of boost on a street chip, i now have a c16 race chip and i am goin to 26lb on my next trip out.

which tire is goin to best for performace and not looks. TIA

26" work great on the front, even with 28" back tires.

28" all the way on the back, the your current tires wear out. When trying to go over 112 mph in the 1/4, its easier with 28" tires. 28" drag radials will always provide more traction than 26" tires.

thats the same thing i was thinking too just was not and still not sure if the 28's in the front would give me better trap speed and times at the big end?? or would it even make a difference?

i have just some 235/60's on the front now with the dr's in the back and was hitting 1.8 60's with 6lb lanch i am trying to get to 1.7 or even 1.6 60 with a 10lb lanch what do you think? trying to get ready to go to bowling green and still have some prep time before the day comes.

thanks for your reply

I have 26 and 28 Nittos on hand.

Don't 60 ft. well with them at all at LVD in NY.

So I gave up on the debate and went with 27" QTP Hoosiers for the track only.

Another confusing option I'm sure. ;)

I run about 112mph on a good day.

Figured the 27" would work well at the track on both cars.

the one thing i am after is the fronts will last me awhile and if the 28' will give me better performace in the long run cool if the 26 will do the same i was planning to go that route. as far as rear goes 28's was the road i was goin after these DRs finally die, i have heard some say these DR's have short life i have been to the track 3 times with about 5 passes each time and have over 1000 miles on the street and have plenty of tread left and they still hook good:rolleyes: who new.. thanks for you replys
