I'm looking to get a new set of slicks this summer. I was going to get 26x10x15 but I've been reading up and it seems that more people suggest 28x9x15. Will it be 100% necessary to get 2 airbags for the rear springs when running a 28" slick? Also, what pressures should be in the airbags with a setup like mine.

I'm looking for 12's this summer!

Thanks.

You could split the difference and get a 27" tire. Hoosier makes them. I have 27" QTPs on my car and they fit decent on 8" rims with 3.5" backspace. The 27" height allowed me to step up to the 27x11.5 (10" contact patch) versus the 10.5 (9" contact patch).

I have airbags but don't need them on the LH side. RH side needs air to keep the lip from digging into the tire on *severe* dips in the road (my body isn't perfectly centered on the frame which seems to be common).

I run 28x9 MT ET Drags. They clear fine even w/o air bags as long as you have a 4" B/S wheel.
