3.8 turbo in a 2000 S-10?

I have a friend that is wanting to put an Lt-1 in his 2000 S-10 pickup. After seeing the Grand Nationals run, he's now asking about these. Any advice where to send him, like a website or something. Has anyone on this site put one in a newer S-10 and how hard would it be.

i was thinking of doing this except not using a turbo. I was thinking of using the buick 3.8, but bolting up an intercooled ATI procharger. I don't know how the motor would respond to the blower. I am guessing not as good since they don't like to rev.

This swap is definitely a MOFO to do... I'm about done with mine (just waiting on a friendly painter to make room for my rolling cab ) I really need to do a web page update soon. For what I've got in this so far, I could have had LHT Performance do a complete LS-1 6 speed swap and had $$$ left over for a procharger... I'm not complaining though, I know it'll be a kick-a$$ ride when finished!

There is a turbobuicks.com with an "S". They have a hybred section with lots of guys putting these motors into different vehicles.

I'd do a Vette LT4, Vette LS1, or a Syclone motor before I even considered putting a Buick motor in an S10.

Just my .02 (...and I have a 2000 S10, so I've thought about doing ALL those things )
