I was wondering if it would be possible to swap out a 3.8L engine in one of these cars for a newer supercharged 3.8L. Are the dimensions the same and how would it work if the newer 3.8L is FWD and the old TB is RWD? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Simple answer: No
More complex answer: Still no and why woud you want to?
Final Answer: There is very little simularities betwen a 3.8L V6 from 78-88 and a Series I 3800 just about the same deal about interchangablity between a 92-96 Series I and a 96-present Series II 3800, but most of the stuff from a 2004-present Series III 3800 works on a Series II.
