3 inch exhaust

i was given a 3 inch exhaust setup for my 87 gn the car is all stock will i gain anything from using this exhaust. the guy i bought my car from put 2 inch exhaust on my car it is very very slow. i am thinking exhaust oh what straight through mufflers can i use that are 3 inch?

Dynomax Welded Ultraflows would be my recommendation. In the case of Turbo Buicks an exhaust is not need to create back pressure which helps in the torque department. Torque is abundant with these engines so an exhaust serves merely as a device to muffle the sound and have it exit at a reasonable location.

This is gonna be a long thread, I can see it now. I have a 3" exh and it perfroms very very well. Im not sure what else to say. I have a THDP as well though
