OK: Here's the 411- Just installed my freshened motor, and didn't change anything externally but the motor mounts(NOS GM). Previouly my THDP had good clearance(about centered) between the A/C box and A-arm. Now It's touching(lightly) the metal cover of the A/C box. The question: Did I screw up by installing the one that said, "right" on the passenger side? No info in the factory manual(or anywhere else that I checked before installing) on which is which. Couldn't see a difference in them, and it wouldn't bother me 'sep for the rattle at idle.

Anyone out there know if the GM Motor mount marked, "right" is for the passenger side? Thanx

When is says Right or Left it means from Aft looking forward. Yes, right side is the passenger side

Some times you can loosen up the bolts to down pipe and if on a lift, we just go under the car and pull down on the pipe and have some one tighten the down pipe at the same time pressure is applied to the bottom. It takes a few times usually and with the additions of the new motor mounts it could possibly set at a different angle just enough to hit and a tiny bit higher. Sometimes we losen motor mounts and use a bar and reposition enough to not hit also. I think all the reposition of the new parts is all that is wrong and you just have to tweek it a bit, hope that helps good luck mark.

I was hoping it was: right-from-the-driver's-seat. Thanks for that! Now I'm hoping I can loosen the bolts and drop/pry the DP a bit without mis-aligning my wastegate puck. The housing is ported(works perfectly right now). I guess I'll back it off and check where it's been seating. ;) Again: thanx guys!!

You shouldn't have a problem in most cases even ported housing will still be a good seal. If all else fails you can take off pipe and put a small ding in the pipe were it hits, it won't effect the flow at all. Or we have put some 3.5" down pipes on and had to (very lightly)tap up with a rubber hammer on the corner or bottom of the metal cover to make a good fit.

Good luck mark

I pried down from between the A/C box and D/P(working alone), with the D/P bolts loose, and gained about an 1/8th inch(and lost a ton of K/R). Didn't move enough to affect the wastegate. I noticed a polished area on the up-pipe as well. It seems my pipe(which is installed perfectly in line with my throttle body) is rubbing my hoodliner/hood. The numbers on these motor mounts were correct. I'm wondering if the engine sitting so stinking high is messing up my pinion angle. Anyone else ever had this kind of problem?
