3" to 3.5"?

Would there be any positive gain going from a 3" to a 3.5" MAF pipe from filter to turbo? The turbo compressor inlet is 3".

There was a long discussion about this just a week or so ago on either this board or the other one and there were several seasoned veterans indicating there would be a noticable difference in going with a larger MAF pipe even though the turbo inlet was 3", I guess because of the slight bends in the pipe make it easier for the flow in the curves with a 3.5" pipe than a 3".
I will go bigger when I get a bigger turbo.
