Howdy,

By now I'm sure many of you are familure with my, in many people's opion, crazy twin turbo 4.1 buildup. With many thanks to the members of this board I have rethought and totally revamped the plan for the engine based on the discussion in my previous posting. Now its time for the little details instead of the critical ones. The combo is production 8484 4.1 with front 3 steel caps, Eagle crank, stock rods, Diamond Forged pistons, JW flexplate, BMS "Indy Lites" balancer, Champion CNC Irons, .60/.48 IHI turbos, Alky Control kit, deltagates, and twin intercoolers all coupled to an SP400 with 1900/3000 stalls and a C4 IRS with 3.08 rear gears. The advise I need is:

A: What size injectors for this setup, I'm planning on running as much booste as the hardware will allow.

B: How much will a roller improve the durability of the engine at higher horsepowerlevels?

C: What profile cam should I use?

D: Is a Walbro 340 enough fuel pump for this or do I need a Double Pumper?

E: How much power tollerance will adding a girdle add?

And the kicker, how much power do people think this combination will hold on a durable basis both with and without the girdle?

Thanks,

83lb min.

None really. At least you wont have to worry about wiping your cam though.

C: What profile cam should I use?
Dunno but id use a BIG one:)

D: Is a Walbro 340 enough fuel pump for this or do I need a Double Pumper?
DPs should be the minimum.Or an Aeromotive with a sumped tank.

E: How much power tollerance will adding a girdle add?
Every bit helps.Especially with the combo your planning.

Ill say 600whp and thats living on borrowed time.

Have you contacted Jay Carter about his TT 109 setup??If not I would. Good luck!!!:D

Thanks for the reply,

I basically have to choose between a roller cam and a girdle. I don't mind making less power, not like I can use 600 rwhp anyway. I do want to step upto a Stage I block when I can find one for a good deal. In the name of recycling parts and durability, and the fact that the heads I'm buying already are set up with LT1 springs, which is a better investment, a roller or a girdle? I want to be able to swap as much as I can from the production 4.1 to the later Stage I 4.1. The only way I can see to run both roller and girdle is if I step down to a factory turbo crank instead of the Eagle forging. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
