How fast have you been with a .63 ar housing? I been 10.06 @ 135 with a precision .63 ar housing. Has anyone gone 140mph or mid 9s with a .63 housing.

How fast has a Garrett .63 been?
Idk but it could support 9 sec power for sure. I’m not so sure it’s the right thing to run on a larger turbine. A T4 tangential or a modern housing will be a lot easier to contour and not be so critical of the depth and worries about marching in too far where the radius is all gone

Wonder why the 67’s got a bad rap trying to push 30+ pounds thru tiny .63..leads to shaft /bearing Failure.

its not the housing, its time and how hard the unit is pushed.ive seen billet 62/64/67s as well as cast 70/76mm turbos on .63 housings running 9s pass after pass year after year, eventually it all breaks.if the comp wheel has its tongue out it shortens its life as boost is just a number.

When you’re pushing a wheel capable of almost 90 pounds a minute thru a .63 You’re going to have back pressure issues if your pushing it

Let me guess people with the 6466 aren’t having any problems with back pressure issues at high boost through the .63. ya right

if and a big if you are hitting backpressure with a .63 and you switch to a larger ex housing and the comp wheel spins faster the turbo is being pushed harder and therefore reduces its life.

backpressure is not the limiting factor on a 64mm turbo, the comp wheel is when everything else is in place
