Hello Guys/Gals

I have been having a few weird problems with my car. This car has a 455 in it with a TH400 with a 3000stall tq, Edlebrock Buick Performer 455 intake, holley 750 carb, accel hei distributor.

I am not familar with the setup on the brake booster / power steering and vaccum lines. I have a vaccum coming from the back of the carb into the intake and one coming from the distributor into the front of the carb. Currently the brakes goto the floor with no pressure on the brake rotors. I have tried bleeding the brakes, but seems like air just makes it way back into the system. Should i replace the entire brake booster?

Next problem is that the car dies immediatley when put into gear. The car idles great, but whe put into gear, it hesitates and dies. I can hold the rpm at 1000rpm and dump it into drive and it works, but the brakes can't hold it still. I put the car on jacks and it will run fine when in drive, so it only happens when a load is put on the motor.

Anyone have any ideas regarding these problems? These two problems are what is keeping me from getting this car to the track.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

1. Leak check the m.c. Pedal should remain hard and up with constant pressure applied for ever after a few pumps to dump vaccum. Cheap bone yard replacement for the whole set up. 2. Pull vac. from the lowest part of the carb or intake. 3.Veriy timing and set carb vac at idle. Holleys can be tempermental bastards (power valve, float set, etc.)
