85 GN motor for sale/trade for repair of old 3.8 carb motor

i have a 85 GN motor in my car now. it runs, but needs new headers and has some kind of throttle positioning problem. I would like to either sell this motor $2500 or just give it to someone in return for how ever much it would cost to get my old 3.8 (the original motor) back in my regal. right now if i keep the GN motor i have to not only fix those problems that it has...i have other issues like guages, exhaust, and gas tank issues that i would have to deal with if i keep that motor...and i think it's just easier to stick the original motor back in the car. if you are interested please let me know..by e-mail...andrewrock5@hotmail.com or by phone 573-690-0611. thanks!

i have a complete carbed 3.8 fresh rebuild at my shop intake to pan all oil mods done only had brake in time on test stand . It is an 87 motor

i would be interested, but i would like to keep the "original" equipment in my 85. i know it sounds dumb, but the car has a lot of sentimental value to me. and the only reason i agreed to have a GN motor put in is because this car had to sit outside for 8 months and i just wanted my car back after that long that i agreed to it. where are you located? would you be interested in rebuilding another 3.8 in exchange for the GN motor?

if you are at all interested, I have a 1980 turbocharged, carburated motor for sale or trade...it is 100% original, factory in the crate from the manufacturer. Just an idea!

There are plenty of remanufactured 3.8's out there. Plus junkyards have many good used motors. Proabably more cost effective than rebuilding the 3.8 2-barrel you have.


Or use the block that's in there now. It will work fine with the 2-barrel intake/exhaust.
