I want to start with taking the body off the frame,so I can get to wirewheel and weld (if necessary)and problem spots.How do guys recomend getting the body off.I'm taking the seats,dash,etc.. out first. Thanks ROB
 
Rob you are goin to spend a LOT of time and $$$$ you are never goin to get back :confused: :eek: soooo if ya still want to do this just disconnect the body bolts , fuel lines , brake lines etc etc .. then lift body off the frame .. then the fun begins :eek: :cool:

Thanks for the help.I know it will take alot of time and money,BUT I want to rebuild this car.I had a 84gn when I was younger and sadly it was stolen,so I want this car to be mine and want to restore it from the ground up. thanks for the help, ROB

ROBK- Go for the restore and hold on to your car for awhile. My 85 insured for alot more than you would believe. These cars are getting very rare. If you need help I have the 85 body and engine manuals. I will gladly send any info you need. Brad
 
i used my hoist to lift a body off a frame and it worked well. but a few guys can lift the body off the frame also! just take your time and enjoy :cool:
 
You have more of a job in front of you than you think you do, but at anyrate, i love to see frame off restos, and applaud the guys with the patience to do it. ( I do, but not the time or money :( , if i did, id buy a hot air, and do a frame off myself. i would enjoy it.) Good luck, and post lots of pictures.
