87 GN Dies Under Boost

Howdy all I had the GN out this past weekend on saturday and sunday it was running awesome . I tried to take it out on tuesday, when I started it , it shut right off ??? The temperature outside was 28 degrees . I gave it a little bit of gas and it started. I checked the oil and antifreeze (thought head gasket) they were both clean .I let the car get up to 120 degrees (on scanmaster) then accelerated so I could get some boost, and the car cut off . No codes on the scanmaster at all. I get an occasional code 45 if I let the car sit for a while but I had no codes at all. If I didnt boost the car at all, the car ran perfectly. It's wierd - anyone have any ideas ? I tried disconnecting the orange wire thinking I might get a code after that but no codes. The only thing I know is wrong with the car is that the battery is 4 years old and sometimes doesnt hold a charge, but if the car was running the alternator would be running the car I thought ? Sounds like fuel, really sounds like a plugged filter or pump sock.

Change the filter, if that doesnt fix it drop the tank and have a look
