did a search and no clear answers.someone who has done this give advice/how to /tips would be greatly appreciated.or a link to a thread.im ready to get rid of this enormous leak.thanks in advance, Gary

My tips:

1. Remove the passenger wheel and the downpipe. Makes getting to the bolts much easier thru the wheel well.
2. Leave the turbo attached to the header and remove both. Needless to say, that means that the turbo oil feed and drain lines need to be disconnected as well as the MAF pipe.
3. Also needless to say...the crossover pipe needs to be disconnected.

That's about it. It's actually not too difficult.

i leave the turbo in place and tire on the car ,
but I remove the downpipe

for retorquing the header bolts to factory specs, a standard socket and torque wrench are probably not going to fit onto the rear bolts.

you may need a "torque adapter" for easy access.

thanks everone for the responses,im going to repair tomorrow.... :)

Disconnect your battery too.....unless you like fireworks !!!! That starter is close down there.

I didn't know that anybody actually used a torque wrench on those.???
No?! Maybe that's why so many complain of leaks! the factory spec is 37 lb-ft (headers to cyl head).

well finished repair today and everything went smooth.did find that it was easier for me to take wheel/tire off to have better access to header bolts.wow what a difference in boost, and the quietness of the engine bay. ;)
