Has anybody used it yet? They now have a picture of one installed in a GN. Looks like it gives a little more room than the factory A/C box. www.Americangraffiti.biz

There is. Best bet is to look around junkyards or check the classifieds on the different G-body boards. I picked mine up off a guy on oldspower.com a couple years ago.MSDGN said:GM heat only??...can you expand on this...is there a GM heat only box that fits our cars?...where do you get one?...part number?
I have no clue on the VC clearance. Its not the worst install I've ever done, it just takes a lot of time. The whole dash has to be pulled to get to the box. Luckily I was pulling it to rewire everything anyway.MSDGN said:So is this GM heat only box a PITA to install also?...does it clear the valve covers OK...pics of the GM box installed would be nice...
Lee Thompson said:I could not even begin to tell you how much engineering was left off this design. No holes for the blower to pull air in---no drain holes in the bottom--no ducting inside the box to direct the air from blower to heater core--have to cut the old one out of your old A/C box. Have to use part of your old A/C box to fill in inside of car duct. Lots of grinding and epoxing. And to top it all off, the main reason I wanted the heat only box was to make it easier to remove pass. side VC. I do have TA heads (don't know how this would play out with other heads as TA's are raised VC rails, I had to cut a notch out of the new box and epoxy it back in to allow my TA vc to go on. Yes, I remember you from the track--guess they are already open this year--may make it there soon--Lee
