If my car blows cool, not cold... what does it most likely need and how much should it cost?

Thanks!

Joel

Usually that mean low refrigerant. Not quite low enough to keep the compressor from running but low enough to affect performance. If you still have R12 it could be pricey to even get it "topped off".

Yup, you can't do that yourself anymore, you're going to have to take it somewhere or find someone licensed for r12. Depending on how low it is you might want to look into an r134 conversion...

What involves an r134 conversion.

And where would I get the original stuff?
Thanks for any help..............Rob

Conversion kit with some kind of sealer and oil about $35 at Auto Zone ( or anywhere). The problem is you'll need to evac the r12...I'm not a good source for details as I paid a buddy who's a tech to do it. I can tell you it works great and it only cost me $35 and a 6 pack :D . You read about guys just adding the 134 and getting away with it all the time though

Thanks I'll look into it.As I've never had to charge either.
Systems.

Iwll get the six pac.Thanks
