well when i first got my GN the AC needed to be charged... then the compresser went bad... and so on.. so anyways a AC guy put a new compresser in it... with new lines and so on. then he filled it up with this stuff called MP39
he said that this stuff was invented by another company (i forgot there name) just after Du Pont came out with R134a. and it is supposed to be colder, last longer and be cheaper then R134a, but all the major car industries already signed a contract to use R134a. this guy claims that they (the car companies) are going to which over to this MP39 after the 15 year contract is over. (which i think is supposed to be in 2004)
has anyone here ever heard of this stuff?
anyways after spending 600 on this damn AC it dosent work... this guy claims (which i am 98% sure is BS) is that because of the turbo the compresser builds up to much head pressure and blows the blow-off vlave on the back of the compresser.. he told me in order to stop this to turn off the air everytime i go to punch it.
then he tryed putting in the R134a.. same thing happend, then he switched back to R12 and the same thing happened, this was back in december and i just havent delt witht he guy since because i have a very good feeling he has no idea what hes doing.. i think buick would have taken into account this whole having to turn the AC off every time you want to go fast bit...
any one have any ideas?
