After spraying the belt with WD40.

The damn thing sounds like a freight train, it wont stop squeaking, what gives, why would WD40 cause your belt to squeak this loud??

They make belt dressing, doubt oil on the backside helps much

somebody told me, now i need a new belt because the one on there got glazed and it wont stop squeaking until I put a new one, basically your not suppouse to put anything on the belts, and what i mean by anything i mean no belt dressing and definetly no WD40..

Your tire size? Is that on a stock rim? and do they rub at all? also have you used any other brand like nittos? and how well do they hook up?

you are kidding i hope...wd-40 is a slippery substance...belt dressing is sticky and holds the belt down...

WD-40 works great for removeing the rubber off the rear quarters, but thats about it. You can try washing off the belt w/ soap and water since WD-40 is water soluble.
Belt dressing dont wurk either. On top of leaving a sticky slimmy coating on it, it softens the rubber and ruins the belt. The only dressing i ever use is a bar of Ivory soap. Run the engine and rub it on both sides. BE CAREFULL. Thats all i can say, the danger is obvious.

Remove the belt, spray off the pulleys with brake cleaner or contact cleaner, and put on a new belt. It's the best way now that you've done a no-no.

if all else fails pull all the pulleys off and have them sand blasted on the belt surfaces.

once they get but so glazed thats about the best fix

Problem fixed, the belt (GATES) cost me 26.95+tax and a couple of bruised fingers but that's all, she is running all quiet now, just the way i like her..
