Hey everyone. I figured, since I am going to make this car shine like a mirror, I believe I need to find some info on what you guys did to make your cars look so nice! I was browsing the forums, and I found people in the turbo forum looking for places and prices on where to go for coating the turbo exhaust housing and elbow. For those of us who have the Mease 3" pipe, we dont need the elbow, but what if we wanted our turbo to match the nice polished look of the tubro compressor? I followed a few of the links on that particular thread, but nothing really helped in determining if the exhaust housing was coated on the inside, or if there was any performance goal achieved, but the turbo's looked damn nice.

I am trying to save up for a TA 52 turbo. My goal is to buy that particular one from precision, and have an adapter or something to that effect, mounted to the turbo. The problem I have is that this turbo comes with a very nice looking polished compressor. How do I make the exhaust housing match? Are there any other benifits to coating a turbo besides the nice silver look? I want my car to be fast, and damn good looking at the same time. I have the car apart now, and the harness is off along with a bunch of other stuff, so now I need to get some parts together to complete the motor, but I dont want to put anything on until I know it is complete, and not have to pull something off just to get it coated and put it back on...I am an all at once kinda guy...lol. anyway, my q's are: Where can I send my turbo to get a silver high heat coating that wont rust or peal, and is there any real performance benefit to it? Is it worth a hundred or so dollars?

Thanks a ton everybody, have a great presidents day!

John
