did all grand nationals have aluminum bumpers and aluminum rear drums? mine has both and was wondering if this was an option or is it just luck of the draw that it got them...? thanks

Just luck, though I don't think many GN's had the aluminum bumper supports.
I've got '87 T aluminum bumpers, iron drums.

grrrrr

yea i think this car was pieced together. none of my numbers are matching up....

Probably not pieced together, just lightened up, olds used these alum supports not the buicks.

yea and my body tag isnt matching up with what the car really is. for example my body tag says 15L 15U wich is gray metalic and A65 wich is a bench seat ????

I belive mine showed the aluminum bumper supports on the trunk tag as factory.

VD6 bumper provisions,frt,aluminum
VD7 bumper provisions RR,aluminum

correct?

If your car came with aluminum rear drums, it didn't come with a factory G80 posi.

ALL '86 GN's had AL bumper supports.

yep

no posi here but im in the process of installing one now. thats when i saw the aluminum drums and bumpers.

Mine has the Aluminum supports and drums but didnt have a g80. I put an Eaton in awhile ago Lots better in my opinion. GM did funny things with these cars so dont get to upset when you find funny things. towards the end of production they started putting on Aluminum supports cause they were leftover honestly who would have given them any thought at that time? You can find GNs with crank windows and aluminum supports and drums but heavy wheels if they were ordering the car to be light you would have thought they would get a T instead. Just a thought.
