anodizing near chicago..

anyone know of a good place to get a gas tank anodized near chicago?..cheapest i found was $350 too rich for my blood

Why not powdercoat?

was going to run ....well going to run e85 and just from what i read it seems like anodized is the way to go...haven't read anything on powdercoating it...I'm talking about the inside...wouldn't the gas eat away at powdercoating?

Personally, I wouldn't bother. A clean tank will be just fine.

i heard the moisture in e85 will eventually pit the aluminum tank and start to clog stuff up

You can buy a lot of filters for $350.00 BUT if you're going to do it though I would think that a Hard Coat anodizing would be your best bet. You can have it done in gray or black usually.
