Another power window thread..

My drivers side power window is going downhill. It will roll down fine, but to roll it up, I have to roll it down and immediately pushup to roll it up. This is only happening with one side...

Almost scared me because it's supposed to storm BAD today =x.

Sounds like the motor is getting tired.
You might be able to improve it some by cleaning and lubing everything up (get all the old dries grease out)

I also grounded the door it self with 8 gauge wire and it helped.

My ol' GMC Jimmy was doing the same thing. The motor is just ready to retire. Follow the instructions carefully and put in a new one. Also go ahead and do all the tips that Zam gave as well. Even with a new motor, these windows need all the help they can get.
