I am wanting to buy a gn, t-type. It will be used for daily driving and i drive alot. are these cars to tempermental for that type of driving? All I ever read on these posts are how the cars are breaking and what not.

the cars on these posts are usually breaking because we like to see how much boost we can get before we get some audible knock. ;)
i bought an 87 GN about a year ago and i first thought that i would not be able to drive it everyday just because of how it acted when i first purchased it. soon found out that it needed a tune up real bad, had a huge crack in the driver side manifold, needed a new ignition module and crank sensor. now it runs almost perfect (has a little bit of a rough idle when the car is started back up when it is still warm). sometimes i will drive it for a week every day and sometimes its parked for a whole week. my car is about to hit 160,000 original miles and it drives better than most of my buddies vehicles. i wouldnt be scared to drive it cross country if i had too. if all the little things are working (ignition parts and such) on the car than it is a good and fun car to drive around everyday.

Depends on what you call tempermental and how much "performance" driving you intend to do daily.

I drove mine daily for 17 years now, and it was totalled in 1995. ;)

Low miles however only 156K.

If you never intend to get a service manual or work on the car often: such as lubes, oil changes, plugs and wires, and minor electrical stuff, it isn't a good daily driver.

Car won't work up to it's potential without that attention and vigilant maintenance.

It's not like a 150 hp beater that you don't care what's working or not on it.
