I did some searching and I'm still not sure about a couple things. I currently have no cooling issues with a CAS radiator and Cotton's fm.

However, I'm curious and fearfull that my AC is going to take a hit now with the fm in place. Furthermore, I might actually have cooling issues, but I haven't had a ton of time behind the wheel during humid or hot days here in MI since the fm install.

That said, I need to know a couple things:

1. I currently override the stock fan by sending power to the high side resistor on the fan. Will I be able to override the RC fans the same way? Or is there a better way?

2. It seems like the factory fan was too small to begin with, but the AC always seemed to blow cold....so is the RC really going to make a difference? Again, I worry b/c of the fm "hogging" the air flow from my condensor.

3. Has there been any improvement with the wiring issues for the RC fans?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Maltman,
There is no highside resistor on the RC fans so no overide is necessary, i.e., just plug and play. The factory fan is sorely too small. The RC fans will definitely pull enough air to provide adequate cooling, even with the FM, and you should notice colder AC during the summer in heavy traffic. The wiring issues have not been improved, however, are not a problem. I recommend removing the pins in the adaptor and soldering the wires to them (they've been known to slip out), splicing in a ground to each of the black wires, running the "new" ground wires (10 or 12 gauge) under the header by wrapping around the harness thats already there, coming out in front of the battery and grounding to the battery ground on the PS fender next to the battery. Mine kicks on at 174 and off at 162. Its interesting to watch the temp gauge go down. RC's fans are truly impressive especially considering the low cost and ease of installation. I hope this is helpful, Joel

Very helpful...thank you

Except, can I "still" do something to turn the fans on manually so I can force a cool down (i.e. while staging)?

Yes, I use Caspers fan switch to control the RC fans after a run.
