Sorry for asking the 1000th wheel and tire question, but I'm confused about this.

So I'm looking into getting some good AR chrome wheels. The wheels I have now are 15x7 on the front and 15x8 on the back. The tires are BFG Radial T/A's 215/65R15 on the front and 245/60R15 on the back.

The wheels I'm looking at now are the Torque Thrust D chrome wheels but they only have 15x8.5 and not 8. So would the 15x8.5 with 3 3/4" backspacing fit with those tires (or different tires), or should I bump up to the 16x8s with 4" backspacing? Help!

What backspacing are your current wheels. Take measurements of space between frame-tire-fender lip and then apply that info to the new wheel. This is the only way to be sure, since every car is different.

If you have 1/2" to spare towards the fender lip then you should be good. If it close and you decide to do it then get air bags so that the rear won't squat enough to rub.

16X8 with a 4" BS and a 255/60 tire is a pretty good combination in back.

The same size wheel will work with a 235/55 or a 245/50 in front.
