Any of you know if there are common HVAC problems with S10s?

My daily is a 98 S10, 4.3, 4x4. Whenever I switch the heat to blow out the floor vents, I get no air on the floor, instead it comes out the defrost.

Is this a common problem? Where should I start looking?

I've tried some S10 forums with no luck...

Try looking on the vacuum label under the hood. You are having a vacuum problem. You need to trace the vacuum from the engine to the firewall.
