I'm replacing a T-Type horn button with the proper GN three shield one. Has anyone ever done this? It's a beyotch trying to get the new horn button in that grey rubber holder. Any advice? I don't want to stretch the rubber out or it will discolor as it stretches. Help! :(

Disconnect Battery. Unless you want to go crazy. Use a hairdryer to soften rubber hornpad. Will be much easier to remove horn button and install new one. Worked for me.

Don't have a hairdryer....shave my head. I'm going to try boiling it for a little bit and see if I can soften it up.

Edit-Yup, boiled it on medium for five minutes and it softened up just right. A little wax and grease remover to clean the face, and good as new. Thanks a bunch!
