As you can see from my signature, I am finally getting my car tuned in. I have yet to strengthen my rearend by more than an Auburn Pro Posi unit. Stock gears. I do not wish to spit out anything yet, but I am DYING to try my transbrake.

Anybody have any luck with survival with same set up?

I am looking fro a spool and 33 spline axels and will trade or sell my Auburn soon.

Thanks in advance for feedback.

I think you'll find most of us are using the stock rearend. I went high 10s off a transbrake for two plus years on a freshened stock rearend. Ive since replaced the axles with Moser 28 spline replacements just for peace of mind. Still running the stock center section and gears. HTH

Uhhhhh...... Nevermind. After reading your signature, I think you're looking to go a little faster than me. Good Luck !!

Don't you need c-clip eliminators with a spool. I didn't see them listed with what are have.

OH when I read through your sig last night I missed those. Looks like you have that covered.

yep...

I'm using Mosers and a Detroit locker w/ a T-400 and a brake. No problems as of yet. [10.5 x 28" slicks, and 3700#]
I also have a bullet pruf alum driveshaft and 1350 u-joints and yokes..A good idea if you'd rather not find the d/s stuck in your a$$ some day..

BTW,I started out w/ the Auburn Pro diff, and it lasted about 20 runs, then started "pegleggin it".

HTH,:D

I am looking at getting an Eaton e-locker. Largest they make is for a 30 spline axel. The guy I talked to there claims it is very streetable and "should" survive my application.

Agree? Disagree? Care?

Usually about 8-10# and about 3500rpm.. Short times were in the mid/low 1.40's..BTW, that was a 28 spline setup, and those axles are still looking like new...:D

I have decided not to risk damaging the unit, rather I am going to sell it now and get 33 spline Strange axels and a spool. I have posted my stuff in the parts for sale section.
